Fast Ropes (Deplaning or swarming ropes)

Originally designed and developed by Marlow Ropes in conjunction with the British Special Forces, Fast Ropes are used for rapid deployment from helicopters without the need for harnesses.   Tried and tested by regular and special forces, Marlow's fast Ropes are in use in the four corners of the globe.

The construction of Marlow Fast Rope allows exact and comfortable control throughout the descent.

In response to the needs of special units, we now offer a selection of 4 termination options:

Dynalite Termination (D.L.T.)

• Significant weight savings over metal terminations. Eliminates risk of injury to personnel on the ground when ropes are released post deployment.
• No metal parts, eliminating the requirement for X-Ray of termination before re-use.
• In House Factory spliced

Standard Conical Fitting (S.C.T.)

• Designed for use with helicopter cargo hooks and hoist systems
• Attaches with a bolt and split pin arrangement
• Factory fitted

Multifit Termination (M.F.T.)

• Strong and durable
• The versatile M.F.T. has been designed to fit a wide range of helicopter cargo hooks and hoist systems.
• Weight saving compared to the Standard Conical Termination.
• Features a 45mm machined eye allowing fast attachment.

Spliced Eye (S.E.)

• Polyester protected factory spliced eye
• Ideally suited for descent from towers in training situations
• Easily hooked over support beams or scaffolding in training
